Hi I’m Billie and I love lifting.

I discovered powerlifting at a time when I didn’t like myself very much. I immediately enjoyed lifting heavy and how it made me feel. Being physically strong and physically able felt good to me. Refining a skill and improving my craft felt meaningful. Showing up for myself week after week in the face of set backs and failure built my character. The barbell soon became a powerful tool for me to learn many valuable lessons and to become a stronger and more resilient human, that I am proud to be.

I share lifting with others for that reason.

I think that becoming strong for the sake of being strong is cool. But I think that becoming strong because it teaches you consistency, a strong work ethic, resilience and how to make time for yourself is even cooler.

I love teaching people to lift. I love providing them a tool and a means to learn about and better themselves. I love lifting as a vehicle for physical and mental glowing up. I love playing a role in guiding that process.

I am a challenging yet supportive coach. I provide tough love when you need it. I’ll ask hard questions. I’ll call you out when that’s what you need. But I’ll hold your hand throughout the entire process and I’ll cheerlead the shit out of you.

I also drink a tonne of coffee, eat a lot of potato gems, take about 100 photos of my cat per day, I love to travel, I sing a lot (not well), speak Spanish (also not well) and I love to read. Ultimately I love to live my life really fully. And lifting has been pivotal to me doing that.

“Billie is dedicated and supportive; firm yet understanding. She lives as she preaches which is motivating. But she also shows us and talks about the weeks that aren’t so great too which is the greatest, because it shows us that she’s human too. ”

“Don’t put this on your website Billie but being able to lift more than my male Hinge dates has been the best/funniest thing to come out of this whole thing.”
